Self-hosted viewer for Telegram Desktop HTML exports with SQLite FTS5 search, media serving, Docker, CI and GHCR publishing.
The challenge
Personal Telegram HTML exports are hard to search and browse at scale; needed a private, local-first archive UI with fast full-text search and safe media access.
The approach
Parsed Telegram Desktop HTML exports into normalized SQLite data with FTS5 full-text search. Added authenticated media serving, reply navigation, filtering and a responsive chat-style UI. Dockerized the app and added tests, CI, Dependabot, semver releases and GHCR publishing via GitHub Actions while keeping personal exports out of the public repo.
